On 5th August, Wednesday, as the initial step towards our design education, we were given our first task wherein we had to portray our self, our likes and who we are, in a 2D or 3D form. We were given 40-50 Minutes to brainstorm, construct and present our ideas.
I decided to make a 2D illustration in which I have depicted a yogasana and I have portrayed my likes and who I am in the form of chakras; my chakras. The rings surrounding the yogasana depicts my personality ranging from adventurous and outgoing to calm and quite. Moving on to the chakras, starting from the bottom, I have represented a paw as my admiration for dogs and cats, moving up is a keyboard and trebble claff( musical note) expressing my sheer interest in the keyboard (which I learnt professionally for 4 years) and similar musical instruments. Following that is an illustration of an aircraft showing my fondness of travelling and exploring new places. The next illustration portrays my drop year which has shaped me to become the person I am today and following my passion in design. Coming to the end of the ladder is an illustration which portrays my attachment to food and my utmost interest in trying out varieties of foods and at the end I have ended it with a depiction of my endearment for TV shows and movies.

The way we had to present our work to our faculty was also a very interesting one. We were taught to upload and label our work on an app where we could edit it as per our needs and then upload that file on our canvas account from where not only the faculty but also my fellow students could view it and get to know me.

I went ahead and tried to edit my artwork on Photoshop for personal exploration and i think the outcome is worth sharing.

This was a good kick start to an upcoming adventure and i'm looking forward to more such tasks.
